I believe 15/30 is the minimum legal coverage in CA. You may want to compare premiums for 100/300 which will covered your a** better in case of accident.
I cant understand some people want to believe what they know is the answer.. sad thing aint it? or just simply envy on people who gets better chance maybe? SAMSUNG-SGH-I317 ? 2
Increased risk of being rear ended! That doesn't have a damn thing to do with the insurance company's risk of loss. Why on earth would you expect them to? Fact is California has higher insurance losses and that Toyota (and the Prius in particular) is more expensive to repair.
I've never done the add one after buying a new car before but did opt for the gap coverage because I was worried State Farm would be more inclined to total my wife's brand new Prius than pay to repair it. Don't know if that's factual but i feel better lol
Allstate is charging me more for our 2012 Prius than for our 2011 Audi Q5, same coverage, everything else equal. I argued with them, but they insist the rates are higher for the Prius. Go figure, as the Audi cost twice as much.
I just purchased my 2012 prius a week ago and my insurance premiums were reduced by 35/mo with the same full coverage at Mercury in Los Angeles. My previous car was a 2005 tsx.
