Offer in on a farm... hunting/fishing license, what is the ring size... what an update!

Huge events happening here... put in an official offer in on a small farmette in upstate CT today, on my own. I prequalified for a mortgage on my own after the ex told me I could never do it. I feel like I climbed Everest twice in a day! Almost as good as walking into a dealership and driving out in the Prius of my dreams!

Picked up the hunting and fishing licenses in my new state this weekend and spent the afternoon trying to catch stripers in brackish waters (two hits but no guarantee they were stripers) but had more fun watching three swans vying over the choice nesting spot... watching swans walk on water as they take flight is impressive!

Spring turkey hunting planned for next weekend - we have our blind ready to go, guns and ammo ready to go, licenses ready... even found a flock of turkeys wandering relatively close to where the blind is and I can call the toms and jakes in without a slate or a box call (but have those as backup ).

Significant other is totally bonding with the girls - my OTTB is first at the gate making her "serve me dinner" faces and making him laugh. He's first to the gate with the stack of hay for her.

And, I got asked what my ring size was last weekend and was told the proposal will be a surprise. Holy ****! I cannot even imagine.

Life is good and I am blessed.

 

I am taking it all very slowly after the life I had... but it is nice to know I'm loved. It has been a long time since I felt that way.
