What did you do to ur Gen III Prius today????

Can you get one with the brake lights on as well?

 

I have the same rvinyl tints on my 3rd brake light. The "Red Smoke" film is a perfect match for the HC units. Don't get the Protection version (too pink).

 

how much are they from dealer? Crazy to pay $25 for 2 plugs from bumperplugs.

I believe this should do the same more or less.. not color matched but it's just 2 dots! I might just try them out and share the spares with PC?

Yeah I listened to your advice and did not get the protection version. Looks good.

 

Here is a pic further back, I can take one of the brake lights on once it gets a little darker out

 

For some reason it looks better on gray than black... or maybe it's the angle. I think it's the contrast.

 

WGM does contrast very nicely with the Valenti HC. Dark tint also makes the red lights stand out more.

 

I have a question. I was thinking about doing this too, so I took off the factory plastic frame from the dealer, but it looks like they messed up and put 2 holes, plus 2 more indentions where there was supposed to be another 2 holes but it didnt go all the way through. Just 2 giant dents. Can I get the dealer to fix this or am I screwed?

thanks. I dont think it's in the law anymore. I think it's kind of a gray area here in TX. I guess it couldnt hurt to ask the parts manager (he's seen me a lot in the past year).

 

Those Valenti tails look really good, especially when the 3rd brake is matched to the red. Too bad they cost so much

 

If you like the thought of matching up the rear clusters just buy some light tint spray and spray whatever colour.

 

Short story: (i) 2 plates still required by statute; (ii) recodification error created question as to whether there is currently a penalty; (iii) correcting bill has passed Texas house; (iv) bill introduced to only require 1 plate has been referred to committee (don't hold your breath); (v) court of criminal appeals previously ruled front plate must be on most forward portion of car; (vi) recodification gave authority to board of TX DMV to make rules re placement (can't find any indication they've exercised that authority).
