    Hi all,

I'm new to the site and I am a new owner. of a used Prius My car is coming up on it's scheduled maintenance and I was wondering if there were any DIY guides anyone would recommend.

Also, is it better to use ramps instead of towers with the Prius?

Thank you and I appreciate your time and patience.

    David

Welcome! you'll find a lot of useful people on this forum. Very helpful and informative, and here is my DIY video for you. You can use a ramp, just bend the maintenance flap and you'll be able to do your oil change.

Your DIY videos are great, keep up the good work. :)

No criticism but for those like me who may wish to use a torque wrench the values are: drain plug 27 ft-lbs, filter cap 18 ft-lbs. Also if you stop unscrewing the filter cap when oil first starts running out (there is a notch that lines up) the oil will drain from the filter and help prevent spillage.
