The outside thermometer started reading incorrectly....saying it was 60 when all my other thermometers said 82. Help!
The ambient air sensor is located in front of the radiators, at the center of the air openings. It is just a small blob on a connector. If the thermistor goes bad then the readings can change. First would be to locate the sensor and unplug and replug it a few times, in case the contacts are dirty. Increasing resistance would result in lower temp readings. Otherwise, I can't say what the resistance should be for a given temp, so as to check the unit. It should be possible to get a cheap junk yard unit and try a swap.
