Hi All, I'm new here.. but very happy to say that earlier this week I signed an agreement to purchase a Prius-c 2 (or Canadian equivalent). The vehicle should be arriving some time in the coming week. I'm wondering if anyone has a checklist (or can think up some items) that I should go through before I drive the car off the lot. Thanks & looking forward to joining the prius family!
Make sure you still have your wallet. Or the fillings from your teeth. Or your first born. If you wake up in a bathtub full of ice water with your kidneys missing, seek medical attention. All of these things are a sign that you may have paid too much. Seriously, though, in the two times I've bought new Toyotas the sales people have been very diligent about going over the vehicle and it's features, explaining how things work. Just make sure any of the add-ons (floor mats, window tinting, etc.) are installed. If you have the "window sticker" you could use it as a sort of check list to make sure everything you paid for is there. It also wouldn't hurt to pop the hood and make sure all of the vital fluids are all there. Highly unlikely it would make it all from Japan without anyone noticing, but then again my Prius C practically came right off of the delivery truck when I got it, so you never know. Make sure they install the air deflectors that go forward of the front wheels. Quite a few people here didn't get them installed before taking delivery. Tire Splats | PriusChat
I don't even know if those are on my C3 - I never had a plastic bag in my trunk when I took delivery...
I don't understand why I have 2 leather/vinyl owner manual holders. One is wide so it fits the wide owner's manual. The other is thin and had nothing in it. Some dealers will have their own delivery checklist to give you when you pick up the car. It includes cleaning, owner's manual, full tank of gas, etc. I'll try to remember to get a picture of mine.
