Not so great gas mileage 3500 miles

    Does it take a while to get broke in? My V6 Solara got better gas mileage!

    330 miles to a tank. I got that on a v6 solara. On the turnpike today going 70mph it only got 43 mpg

    So you're comparing a Prius c with a 9.5ga tank to a Solara with an 18.5ga tank? Are you being serious?

    Only 43 at 70 haha that's not bad. You can't compare miles per tank either. The C is for a city rig anyways not a freeway. You will get worse mpg on the freeway that city driving.

    LOL I'm doing the math and I shouldn't be getting the same mpg. V6 compared to a hybrid. I did the math....

    No. The Solara is rated at somewhere around 18mpg city / 27mpg hwy. You most definitely will not be getting anything that low in the Prius. Any Prius. :)

    Tony, you used less than half the gas in your C vs the Solara to travel 330 miles - so what's your point?

    Tony, redo the figures using the amount of money you had to pay to go the number of miles. Don't use the "how far on a tank" figures as the tank size confuses things.

    Solara V6s report 23+ MPG on fuelly, Prius Cs report 49 MPG on Fuelly.

    yep, disappointed about my tank range too, I could get 700 miles on my flat bed truck that has 85g tank. can only get 600 miles in the prius...wth

    Great idea! If I put my Prius on a flatbed truck, I will get indefinite mpg out of my 11.9 gal tank. I guess the trick is to put it on some else's flatbed. All kidding aside, I've always been jealous of the LB ability to get 600+ per tank. That's just a pipe dream for the wagon.
