I have purchased a used 2008, checked TOYOTA registration ,, not much info on it as far as history,, so car runs great and I want to keep it that way.... What do i check, have changed (oil, fluids, battery). or at least check so i am up to speed an everything keeps working as it is now,,, tires seem good, but am headed to discount tire to checked,, any recomendations as far as replacement tires would be appreciated. With 78k on it i am sure this is at least 2nd set of tires,,, but want to stay on top of all this.. really looking to find another fob to so i have the 2nd one,, but refuse to pay the STEALER (dealer) the outrageous prices for 2nd fob.
I'm kind of surprised no one has given you an answer. I would take it to a reputable dealer and have them go over the car. You may or may not need a 12V battery. A lot of times, this can be a source of declining mpg. If you haven't already, repost the question on the Gen II forum. thanks for your response,,, the words "reputable dealer" are difficult to swallow. You are very lucky if you have found that. But thanks for your help. I may just purchase a new 12v battery so I know I am starting out on solid ground.
