I've owned my car for a week and have set the ASL at every setting and I cannot tell any difference in the levels. In my Nissan it was quite effective, but the Prius doesn't seem to do anything. I've read the manual and it doesn't really say much (I'm extremely disappointed in the manual as the technology section is almost useless) other than how to set it. Anyone else notice this? Does it only work on odd dated Tuesdays or something?
there's a slight difference, but I can tell it does work.. the sound dampening in the vehicle warrants no drastic changes in the ASL, thus... it doesn't make large changes... but noticeable? at least for me.. yes. it works.
I don't even understand what it's supposed to do. Is it supposed to automatically level the sound constantly or is it supposed to be where it raises and lowers the volume based on how fast you're driving, like in BMWs for example?
I'm having trouble with mine, as well. I'm connected to my phone via bluetooth, and the ASL doesn't seem to work no matter which setting is chosen. I wonder if that has something to do with audio streaming over bluetooth. I may need to try it with an auxiliary input and see if that makes a difference. Did the OP ever find a solution?
I usually have my radio set to 20 in the city and 30 on the highway. I turned on ASL with the high setting and I haven't noticed a difference.
