prius C speaker size

because it's a wet door , would it be better to install marine audio speakers ?

 

It certainly wouldn't hurt! It's probably a smart idea.

 

can anyone confirm that the depth on the rear doors is the same as the depth on the front doors?

i am asking because i took the rear speakers out today and test fit a 6.5" infinity kappa perfect speaker (2 5/8" top mount depth) from my old car and it did, indeed fit. i plan on getting the image dynamic ctx65cs 6.5" speakers (2 3/4" top mount depth), so i know that they will fit in the rear doors.

if someone can please confirm that the depth are the same on all 4 doors, i won't have to remove the front door speakers until i'm ready to replace them. thanks!

what u use to screw it bak on ???did u made new holes ?? and one more question can u put any size magnet or it have to be small or have to get a adapter

 

i don't plan on putting them back in, i installed spacers where the original speakers were; so i could fit huge aftermarket speakers.

 

were did u buy ur spacer from

 

i traced the stock speakers on cardboard.

i found sellers on ebay who made mdf rings/spacers, i asked if they could make custom spacers for me. i chose the guy w the lowest price (i think it was $25-$30 for all 4?) so i mailed him the cardboard cutouts and he sent me back 4 spacers.

 

Use something like this or this (note: you may need a different size! but these will help protect against moisture)

 

Wait there are no speakers in rear doors of 2014 prius C 1??????

 

i know the 2012 and 2013 C 1 do not have rear speakers. the 2014 is most likely the same. no rear speakers
