Hey friends, I was driving home from work tonight. It was a rather windy and rainy drive home. Anyways, I started to notice a high pitched squealing from the passenger side. I couldn't tell if this was from the window or coming from a vent. Has anyone ever experienced this? I tried to slightly crack the passenger side window. The sound wasn't too loud, but just wanted to make sure it wasn't something major. Thanks so much. JG
How many miles are in your car? Sounds like the belt.... At least that's where I'd start looking for issues.
There's about 64,500 on it. First time I've heard it. I've had some sinus issues lately, as well. I'm not sure if this contributed to it.
try lifting the hood while you hear it, might be better able to tell if it's the belt. wait til your sinuses clear tho.
I never heard the squealing again. I just chalked it up to a rainy, windy January night. I have just been continuing with preventative maintenance measures with the car just passing 70k. Are you experiencing this issue right now?
How long have you owned this car? If it's new to you, you might be hearing the high pitched electical whine from the inverter. I hear it in the summer when my windows are open, reflecting off of buildings if driving slowly down the street or in a parking lot. Normal sound.
