Almost two months into seeing my friend and I think I have found a soul mate who told me tonight that he wanted to spend the rest of his life with me. Wow.... It is nice to know that I finally found my prince. He likes hunting, fishing, coffee, Prii (while not an owner yet he is talking about it and he and I usually count them on our road trips) and late night rides on an ATV to look at stars - he even asked if I can teach him to ride since I was a riding instructor before taking a desk job. I am meeting with a real estate agent later today to look at a house and meeting with a lender on Monday - renting with family was a stepping stone after my divorce but I finally found my confidence and wings to soar. Who knew it took almost half a century to find those wings!
I'm glad things are going well. I hope you both take plenty of time, thought, discussion, & prayer in deciding on the future of your relationship.
Congrats so happy for you. Nothing is better in life than being in love. Cherish it. Congrats on the guy
Hey your just starting out, but awhile from now if you decide to get married can you wait to you get to the resort.
There's only one life. Being able to share it with someone you love is true happiness. Enjoy life. Thank god we don't live in NK or the middle east. Cheers, Shin
Oh, I am so loving it... I feel like I am 17 with benefits. Not bad for almost being near the half century mark! He is just awesome and for me, what love was meant to be... we did our first 5K together today and know we are both going the distance. Coffee, Prius and he likes the girls in the backyard. Trifecta! JMD, as you mentioned it might take a few frogs to find the prince but this one was a prince from the start. Not from the manor born but another soul who also went through the school of life to know when you find something special you keep it close to one's heart. I am blessed.
Thanks - the stars definitely aligned on this one. Guess I had to go through the tough stuff to appreciate what true love really is. He did as well. A family member said, "You will know if it is love. It will get you to the core of your soul." Since meeting him I have never laughed so much, smiled so much and have had friends say I have lost 10 years of aging. Plus, it is fun to drool over other Prii through the generations with a partner!
Life is short and tomorrow is never promised. Live life to the fullest - tough when I was alone and hating my life but sticking to the course does pay off. Today we ran a 5K and both of us were not last or close to it... we both have had significant health issues - mine are type 1 diabetes (on a pump) and asthma and today I could give both of those diseases the "bird" as I sprinted the last 100 yards and did not coast in to the chute. We look forward to the next race!
