Hmmm. Is this a good price for this CPO Gen Prius III?

Dealer trying to build foot traffic? We just bought a NEW Prius from a dealer for less than a used 2 year old one equipped the same on the same dealers lot!

Wow, that's an odd occurrence. Did you get a good deal on the new car or was the used car just that much over priced?

That price isn't bad. A new Piii runs around $25k.

Worth a look. From what I have noticed, lower priced cars at dealership usually mean condition isn't so great. They want to clear them out.

Used prices pushed me to just go new!

Since you noted you coming from performance or high hp cars, I would have thought you want 17" wheels. I read many complaints about the small 15's and poor handling. I'm impressed with the 17's. NTL, GL.

I'm swapping the rims out even if it comes on 17's. I like black rims.

oh ok.. so you rather buy a used car, throw money to customize vs new.

if black and careless about the size, search for 15" change in color of alloy wheel. I think they change it from silver to black.

Oh no no no. I would be going with at least 17s, lol. I DO understand that upsizing has a lot to do with handling. I'm uncertain about 18s, I just don't want to end up with an extremely low profile tire (like what I'm on now, lol)

With tire sensors and LRR tires, it's easily over 1k. The Persona black chrome wheels were a great compromise.

I thought you were not convinced just yet and renting one first. Jumping the gun?

The audio on your link, the lady states less than 5,000 miles but the list shows over 28,000 miles. I think they've been drinking! lol

The one thing I picked up on is it says its a Penske dealership (Penske = rental/fleet cars). Check the Carfax for fleet vehicle but beyond that, I see no problems with this car and the price.

No, just really considered the Prius earlier this week. :)

I have a spread sheet I'm building to help me consider all cost associated with car. I honestly don't know how the PIP works, but I'll look it up.

Alright, I just looked it up. I'm not really getting it though. So the PIP can go up to 11 miles on just electric power. I guess that would be good for someone that has a short commute, but I'd burn through that 11 miles and still have a good ways to go just to get to work.

Yeah, the Pip is great for those w/ a short commute but can also benefit those w/ a longer commute. The price difference usually doesn't add up for comparison on a spreadsheet. Its like a Mustang, you don't need a V8 GT but you want it. In the Prius world, we don't need a Pip, but we want it (financially, neither typically make sense).

I love the black cherry paint on the Personna. If I was getting a new one, I'd get that.
