steering wheel question

I wonder how is the process to remove the steering wheel, since I want to add the voice command module on my Prius C II for the aftermarket radio.

 

You have to remove the airbag because the 2 silver trim pieces are screwed in place.

 

How do you remove the Air bag?

 

It is not difficult. Just don't forget to unplug the negative battery terminal m

 

Can you tell me how???

 

1st u have to disconnect the neg on the 12v accessory battery.

Next there are 2 plastic covers at the 3 & 9 o'clock position near the rear of the steering wheel. Remover these covers. Now use a flat head screw driver to release the metal clip. U either push towards the back or the front of the car

Where did you order the voice command botton control ? What part # and where and cost?

 

Here's the pics of the steering wheel module, with the part number (2nd pic) and wiring plugs. I bought it with the steering wheel for $100 on ebay.

There's some 2010-2011 and the difference from this one is that the 2010-2011 buttons are horizontal instead of the 2012 that are vertical.
