hey all, started trying to do my speaker install today but i ran into problems: first, i was able to get the door off, but only partially. there's wires attached to the door lock (on the backside) - how do you disconnect it? i couldn't figure it out so while i had the door panel "off" it was still attached to those two wires. click to enlarge. second, the speaker is attached to the door with a weird 'screw' - it's not a regular crosshead. it's simple a circular dot - how do i get that off?! i've never seen that before! click to enlarge i've attached pictures of both. thanks for your help!
The two wires that are a attached to the door are for the lock/unlock and opening the door to get out. The white and green plastic pop in and out, then you remove the balls out of the joint, just remember where the green and the white go. Rivets are what is holding the speakers. The easiest way to remove the rivets is to get a big enough drill bit and drill them out.
