I do not think so. I think it's a one year thing. If you think you have a front or rear out of alignment they will check and fix if some thing is wrong.
Must be done within the 1st year. The service writer refused at my dealership, said he never heard of such a warranty. But I'll return to him and educate him. The problem is, they get trained by situations, when a customer knows and the writer doesn't! That's because they do not own these cars so they are ignorant, because of a training program centered on the Dealerships interest only. Also one does not know if the balance and alignment is off unless you get it checked. So get checked before the first year is up!
Is this true for the new prius v also? This is why Prius Chat is so helpful as unique infomation like this comes up all the time.
last time i was in, they said one of my tire is bit off but very slightly and didnt recommend alignment. when i asked about one time alignment warranty, my service advisor said haven't heard of such thing.
to the ones with a full knowledge of the "free-wheel-alignment-and-balance", can you please post a written reference about this for educational purposes? Thank you
All I know is that they did my 2005 back then and said it was covered, I said great! Sorry thats all I really know. I have had no reason to check on the 2012's. Sorry!
Where is the information about this warranty? warranty booklet, manual, or the web site? I need something to show the dealer in case they do not know it.
It is in the warranty booklet, the only item with a one year limit! Specifically:warranty and Maint Guide, Page 13, Second Paragraph.
Tried it after putting my springs on, service writer laughed at me and shook his head. Ahh well can't argue that one.
aftermarket spring? my dealer said tire balance is honored if the car is in need of one, didnt get back to me on alignment yet.
Am at dealership now and the Manager is giving me a hard time and wants to discuss semantics. They will only road check for tire balance, says they will perform an alignment check. We will see. Can anybody give me the on line corporate address or tel # ? TY
