2013 prius V. Noticed a humming/moaning noise today at very low speeds. Don't think it was the electric motor, as it didn't indicate that it was charging. Any ideas?
How long have you had the car? And have you done any modifications to the car since you got it? Or removed anything from the car that came with it?
Probably. OP, does it sound like 2012 Prius Vehicle Proximity Notification System (VPNS) - Video | PriusChat ? VPNS got added starting w/model year 2012 Toyota hybrids and EVs.
Was it on a long downhill stretch with a fully charged traction battery? Prius makes a low humming sound as it bleeds regenerated energy when the traction battery is fully charged (full charge bars displayed).
