I have a offer for 2013 Prius v 3 for $25400 or 2012 Prius v 5 for $27000. What am i missing if i buy 2012 v 5 instead of 2013 ,concerned that i'm buying a older model ? but the price seems to be too good to miss.
You'd be getting off the top of my head 3 door sks, led headlights, auto dimming mirror, home link, 17 inch rims and softex with heated seats with the five. Probably a bit more to gain but again that's off the top of my head. Me, I'd go for the five just because of the led headlights. And just as an FYI, Prius v is lowercase v not uppercase.
Keep the car 10 years like most do and the model year matters very little. I own a 3, should have bought a 5.
I don't believe so. On Toyota's website they indicate that the 3 and the 5 have the same EPA mpg ratings. I'm biased of course, but I'd recommend you go with the 5. $27K is a great price!
I paid $30k for my v, so price looks very good. Believe it or not, I save money every time I turn on my heated seats and turn off the cars heat. That way you use the cars engine less and use the electric motor more. Being from Wisconsin, this only works for me when the temperature is around 20 or above, but I can save up to 5 gal. per fill up. I believe you only get the heated seats on the 5, and the soft-tex leather; also something I needed as I have two large shedding dogs. Enjoy your new Prius!
Yes - the generally accepted rule of thumb is a 2 to 3 mpg drop. Could be more depending on your driving patterns. Also, the ride is rougher due to the low profile tires. Does give firmer handling, but at the price of lower mpgs and harsher ride. The 5 probably has 8-way power seats, which is an improvement over the non-power seats.
Go with the 5........you will appreciate it years down the line when you sell or trade it over the 3, hands down.
Don't get me wrong, I love the high end goodies and almost always buy them, but my experience is that they don't add much to trade in or resale value, relative to what you pay for them.
I am interested in the 2013 Prius Three. How much should I pay out the door for it? Can anyone share an invoice or documentation of paying less than $26,000? I researched online and found a few places that estimated the quotes of what the customer should pay being between 24,000 and 25,500 and that nationally the average invoice is approx $25,200.. If I can show proof of an actual person paying that then they will give me a discount. Can any one help?
May I ask what dealership did you get that offee from? And which one did you get? I am currently in the process of talking my dealership down, but I must show proof that the Prius Three is being sold for less than $26,000. I would like to try and get a similar deal.
Pulled the trigger on 2013 Prius v three. Total price paid 26205 + TTL - 1200 trade-in on 98 Camry at Carbone Toyota, Bennington,VT
search for carmax toyota laurel md and you will find an ad for a new v 3 for less than $26k but lots depends on your location, dealer and distributor adders, collusion among dealers, supply and demand.
Thank you. Color is Magnetic Gray Metallic, dark gray interior. I wanted Bisque interior but there was no stock. Little disappointed with dark gray interior but the family likes it. It took me couple weeks to decide so don't give-up yet! I looked at couple other hybrids Ford C-max (although it was good, I think it is still in its early infancy), Accord, Prius but Prius v met our needs. 5 to 8 inch snow expected tonight into tomorrow so I am looking forward to checking how Prius v would handle.
Enjoy your new ride! Not sure it will be the best car for snow due to the low clearance, so let us know how it does.
Best offer i could find for 2013 v 3 blizzard pearl/Bisque is $26400 +TTL , do i have to pay extra for door mats ?
I bought my '13 magnetic gray v three last day of Feb for $26k even + TTL. I am sure I could have done better, but I hate dealers. I made my offer to many dealers before I visited any. Chicagoland area is where I am located. I think I wish I would have bought the five, but had a monthly payment target I wanted. So far avg. 45mpg in mixed, mainly suburban urban driving.
Depends on how the price is negotiated. Mine came with mats, mud guard and bumper protection, didn't pay for any. Is 26400 for 2012 v 3? Something is not right but again it depends on the location. Best I had for 2012 v 3 was 25000 + TTL (but again they low balled on the trade and they were willing to give only 300 to 500 for my old car). Also, Toyota has 500 to 750 off on 2012 models, along with 0% APR. I think 26400 for 2012 v 3 is high.
