Hello, My 2002 Prius died a few months ago and after having my Toyata dealer and an independent Toyata repair shop look at it, I know the hybrid engine and hybrid computer need replacing. The engine is still OK and has ~170K miles. The body and interior are in good to very good condition. I desperately needed a car to get to work so I am already driving a new Prius C. The dealer did not offer anything on my 2002 Prius for a trade in because it was not running at the time of the sale. I'd like to do the best thing with my 2002. I have looked into selling it to a junk place who offered $700 to tow it away. The three month old new tires cost almost that much. So I wonder, is there any possibility the 2002 is worth more than $700 to anyone? For scrap or parts? Can anyone reccomend who I would talk to about that?
