Prius is officially cool :)

My two boys (5 and 8) think the car looks like a spaceship and is the best thing ever. So you just need to start them young. Plus at age 5 and 8 anything dad has is the best thing ever!

My generation was always tinkering with our Mustangs, Duster 340's (me LOL) ect. trying to get more power out of them, maybe the new generation will be tinkering with their Prii to see who can get the most mpg's.

 

My son, who buys his own gas, thinks Prius is so cool that he bought a Gen 3. My daughter, a few years younger and still on the dole from mom and dad, is less excited about Prius. This reminds me about something that I believe Winston Churchill once said. It went something like, 'If a man isn't a liberal in his twenties, he has no heart. If he's not a conservative by forty, he has no brain." I figure most of our kids will recognize the cool-factor of fuel efficient cars, like Prius or whatever comes next, when they're paying the bills.

They do. When I did the school runs in the taxi job all the kids loved it. Used to get asked very sensible questions from 10 year olds.

Even the yoof liked it on their nights out on the town. Used to be a good distraction to stop them considering mugging me

Very cool photo but you are driving on the wrong side and going 30 mph. The Klingons in their SUV behind you must be salivating with anger and ready to vaporize you!
When I drove up in our new Prius three weeks ago my daughter screamed so loudly windows were shattered.

 

Fortunately it's not just the young among us that think Prius is "Cool". When I was growing aware of cars as a youth, I wondered why they had to look like boxes. I drew laid back windshields and wedge shapes. Always followed Le Mans for the aerodynamic shapes... look at the evolution through the decades from the 50s to present day.

I'm really glad that the youth still recognize the future. Prius is Cool and hopefully Toyota will continue to push the envelope with the next Generation of this car.

 

I like the leather seats. Were they standard or a dealer option?

 

I am seeing a friend who is starting to see "green" after watching me pull up to the coffee shop a few times in my Prius and it is not like he doesn't see a lot of Prii in his line of work... It was great hearing about the car from his perspective and about the different Prius generations, the technology and the designs.

I told him it takes just one sip of the Kool Aid and he will have one in the driveway! Funny that he never heard that statement before about Prius ownership....

In my drive to work more and more are coming out of the woodwork....

 

Love the pictures - you have to have one in your library of some sort of laser beam vaporizing the enemy.... Glad in the Prius picture game one of the requests was not "show your Prius traveling through hyperspace" - you would have that one for sure!

 

You seem very tense. You should relax more when you drive. Elbow against the door, one hand on the wheel and chill
