I'm not sure wind noise is trhe issue. On mine. seems to be tire noise. Pavement around here is unbroken, but has relatively big exposed rocks which cause a lot of noise. When I travel over e patch of new smooth pavement the sound level drops half or more. Dno't know whethe noise is tires or suspension, but definitly not wind on my car.
That was my experience as well. The lack of sound deadener underneath the carpets allows a lot of road noise.
