Prius Pickup Spotted

    I was cruising around in EV mode the other day and observed this Prius loaded down to the Max! I thought I would share it with the forum. Sorry for the glare, but you get the idea.

    Ah, If only the ABAT had made it into production. My dealer would have my fully paid order for the first one in hand.

    Sadly, I heard that production plans were to the point that Toyota was asking for parts bids from the parts vendors, when the US economy went flat and the ABAT got shelved :(

    I didn't know Prius offered a load bed extension option. Is that part of the Prius Overload package?

    Very creative! Looks like they wanted to save money from renting an U-haul. Anyone noticed the front wheel and rear is different?

    A hybrid pickup might be a big seller. Something based on the Highlander Hybrid for example. Not one of the "fake hybrids" that GM turns out.
