Picked up a 2013 Persona in Blizzard Pearl

    Greetings everyone... From the looks of it the newbie forum doesn't get much attention so I thought I would introduce myself in the forum where my focus will be... I'm Greg from Virginia Beach. I just purchased a 2013 Blizzard Pearl Persona on 2/28. Although I was looking for a base Two since purchasing the Prius was as much a financial decision as any other, the deal that I was offered on the Persona could not be turned down. Purchasing 5 cars from the same dealership plus taking many friends to them finally payed off... I have to say that the wheels, Softtex, and the radio are worth the little bit more that I ended up paying. I think I am going to enjoy owning the Prius with a 60+ mile commute each day and consistently rising gas prices not to mention it's just a pretty cool little car. I'm a long-time Toyota owner but this makes my first hybrid. I've already learned quite a bit from lurking on the forum and for that I say "thanks"... Looking forward to the ride, Greg

    Thanks for posting this as I'm considering the same car! I'm a newbie too. I'm so glad the Persona comes in white as the black and cherry I cannot buy. I'm also debating between the Persona or III with Plus Package.

    I have to say the Softex is what sold me on the Persona... I was looking at value, specifically the II, but found that the Persona package brings the most value in my opinion. That is of course dependent upon your personal preferences. I couldn't do the black or cherry either (too much labor to keep black looking good and the cherry just wasn't for me!)... Went to purchase a II and low and behold they were pulling this one off of the truck!

    I have almost the same story.. I went to look at a trim level 5 and saw the white Persona.. it was parked behind one another.. with a price tag of over $2k less, it's a great package!

    Congrats! That's a great looking combination, Blizzard with the darker Persona wheels. White exterior will help keep it cooler on those hot Summer days!

    Looks like your neighbor across the street has a Blue Streak Prius c.

    We bought our Prius last year on 2/28. Good date.

    I wish I found Prius chat before I bought my '12! Would've waited for the '13 and done the Persona too.

    Congratulations! You will love the Prius! I love your choice of the color.

    On a side note, how do you know if you have the "Persona" model? Our Prius is also a 2013, but the salesman never mentioned this to us.

    Persona model has black chrome 17" wheels, softex, badge and boy comes in black, white and cherry. Basically a prius 3 with the options I mentioned.

    it states persona on the back of the car.


    They have only been out a few weeks/1 month.

    As a salesman, i didnt know about them until they hit the ground. They dont warn us about incoming models like this.

    I took him into the dealership while I was looking... He ended up buying the "c" to commute in as well. +1 for me, just another customer I took to the dealership. That came into play heavily when I purchased mine just a few days later.
