Has anyone received the HSN/Toyota/Shell free gas card offer? I've been told by HSN cust service rep. after processing the paperwork it may take up to 90 days before shipping. That would bring the total waiting time to over 5 months. Just doesn't seem right. Replaced 300,000 + mile Prius with new one in January 2013.
Mailed mine in first week of Dec. still waiting, but that's ok. Doesn't really matter when I get the free gas, as long as I get it. JMD it was this package we could order free from HSN on October 6th when Toyota did a special presentation of Hybrids on their show. It came with a certificate that was good for $1000 in HSN Kash or $1000 is Shell Gas cards. Car had to be bought between Oct 6th and like Jan. 6th - or up till I think April 16 if you got an Avalon Hybrid. I know a couple of people have gotten theirs, but they got the first shipments of the package, and mailed their stuff in in Nov.
Nice deal if you were in the market for a car anyway. Good score my man. Too bad about the wait I purchased a new Prius 2012 on 9/29/2012. To bad.

From what I remember you had to register only on the day that it was advertised on TV. I registered just in case I bought a new Prius but didn't so I threw away all my materials except for the coffee cup I got LOL.
Yeah you had to order that special promotion package on October 6th. And you had to have the original order form from HSN, a copy of your purchase or lease agreement and the form they sent. I have seen them selling on Ebay, but last time I looked there was only 1 and it was higher than I have seen. I saw a bunch for around $100-150 for sale earlier. Even at $300 it's still a good deal when you look at the fact you are going to get $700 more back. Btw I have nothing to do with any for sale on Ebay....just to be clear, I just know that is one of the few places you can still get the packs.
No problem, least I can do for a fellow 4 owner with the same amount of fill ups and dang near the exact same mileage so far. Have to ask are you running snows on your car? I am looking to take mine off soon and hoping for a nice bump in mpg after the weather warms up.
Sweet! No, I just purchased a set of 17" Michelin MXM4's and Drag-34 wheels and I am very happy with both. My Toyota TRD lowering springs came in on Friday and I'm having them installed on Monday. I live in Nashville where the terrain is filled with hills. You being in Idaho probably have the same challenges! Here is a pic of my "dirty" car prior to having the springs installed and I will take another photo after they are on the car!
Very nice, of course you just filled up today, so you are ahead. Almost time to get my motorcycle out for the season so you will continue to fill up more often then me. I hope you continue to enjoy it, let me know if you get a set off ebay. Has to be mailed in by I believe April 14th or so, don't wait to long to pick one up if you do.
I filled-up twice in the past few days as I had to make a trip down and back to FL. Thanks again for that info, I'm going to continue to monitor those cards on eBay. I figure that the prices will come down the closer the deadline approaches!
Just an update to ease your guys minds who did this deal. I mailed mine stuff in around the 5th of December or so and I just got my gas cards today. So they are coming it just takes a long time. But I have still only used like $160 in gas so far and I have had the car since Oct 17th. Swich I still haven't filled up lol, I do have to fill up tomorrow after about 60 more miles. So at this rate I should have gas for the next 3 or so years, as I will be on my motorcycle a lot the next 5-6 months and I have only used less then $200 the past 5.5 months. Woot!!!
Mailing off the last 3 of my Shell cards today... I couldn't use them myself since the closest Shell station is 304 miles away so I sold them all on Ebay. Took a loss to a certain degree, but still cleared $900 after fees and shipping charges etc. Still over $900 to use however now just for buying my car.
I'm still waiting on mine, mailed in back in Jan and I had called them to confirm in late Feb, and they said that it was approved and would just be a matter of time.
I mailed mine middle of december, called HSN last week and said i am in the next batch to be sent out(middle of June). Takes a long time!
Oh no, that's not encouraging. I sent mine in on March 10th so I guess that I won't expect to see it until fall.
Yeah, you can always call them and see where they are in the process. But expect for it to take way longer than nessisary.
