I had my Nokia 3650 Firmware updated today from version 2.54 to verison 4.13 (8/20/2003). Things I noticed that are Prius related: 1. The signal strength still doesn't show. 2. I had to re-pair the device with the car - the phone didn't think Prius supported the Hands Free profile. 3. My initial impression is that voice quality has improved noticably. It doesn't sound nearly as overdriven. Conversely, I had to turn up the volume in a conversation a bit more than I used to before (5 bars vs. 3-4). However, the conversaion is intelligable now 4. At times, dialing calls seemed to take a bit longer - may have been a fluke, or perhaps a "feature". For $30, and the other fixes it provided, I'm happy. I had it done at an authorized Nokia repair center (Level 3) in Santa Ana. -Rick
Hey Rick, I work in Tustin and would love to know where exactly to go to for that firmware update. Could you give me some details please? Thanks, saltydog4791
I too work in Tustin... (on Irvine Border tho) LOL I went to Teknicomm, in Santa Ana (corner of S. Harbor and MacArthur, behind the Carls Jr.) www.teknicomm.com for more details. Cost me $30 to have it done. The guy who does it is really nice about it too.
