One year old and 7106 miles and it had to go. prius C1 and man does it hold its value. I put nothing down and paid a little to much when I sold it to myself at 100 over invoice. Traded it in today and ended up with 17000 for it. My pay off was 18,681 which was only tax and license negative. Had a paid tax and lic fees up front, there would have been equity after 11 months. Not leaving the Prius family now that I have a taste. Just bought a regualar prius persona edition in pearl white. Night and day difference over the little C. It was fun while it lasted.
Night and day difference between a c1 and the 13 package 3 SE [persona edition] for me it was 2300 down and my payment was only 50 bucks higher More comfortable ride More quiet ride push button start soft tex seats and steering wheel nav/entune back up cam more comfortable seats with more adjustements pearl paint smoked chrome alloy rims More room More power Longer cruising range Better sounding stereo/XM HD radio
Yeah, sounds like you got base trim-itis. If you'd gotten the 2, it might have been more tolerable. There's quite a difference between the two.
Just a minor difference in price: the C One is $19,080, and the 2103 Persona lists at $27,130. Eight thousand dollars can buy a lot of upgrades.
It's always good to find the vehicle that's right for you. And if you want more space and a bit more polish, the regular prius is definitely the better choice. Just like I love having a little runabout, so there's no contest for me in choosing the c!
You know the C was fine, and I did like it for what it is. I just sell toyotas new in Auburn Ca and fell in love with the new SE for the goodies and value.
ok, so you got a good deal then. ya, i sold cars for a brief period and also knew people who bought new cars every 12-18 months. My sister is one. She has a 2011 Edge and is getting ready to get a Fusion Hybrid. I am trying to push her to an Energi but its hard to do since her dealership hasnt gotten any energi's yet.
I noticed the new car in your profile and got all confused. I was like "what happened to the c?". I'm glad to hear it was a personal choice and not because of an accident. My friend just bought an Avalon Hybrid from Magnussen's. I told him how I have been drooling over the car and that there was a couple on the lot. I made sure to mention how well I was taken care of by Andy and Fish as well as the service department. Speaking of which, it's about time for the 10k oil change on my PIP!
Update; just got a C-Max Energi into the dealership last week and her first response (like everyone elses!) "What happened to the storage in the hatch?"
Kind of considering this myself- but probably won't do it. So how much did you "lose" exactly? What was your on the road price for your C1 ?
About 8/10 of my tax and lic fee's. Car had about 400 equity. I lost 1,681 total, which again was fees. On road cost I don't have. I know it saved me about 350 a month is gas for my truck and my gas for the C would roughly be 35-40 bucks. monthly payments were roughly 282 on the C.
