I've got some problems with the drivers seat on my 2010 Prius III. The cloth has come undone from the front of the seat. The dealership has "fixed" this on three occasions. It comes apart again within a day. The plastic panel on the left side of the seat pops off very easily. And finally, the bolts that attach the seat to the floor are rusty. I've asked the dealer to replace these (I'll pay), but they have been blowing me off. Anyone else had these problems? Were you able the get the dealer to resolve them? Unrelated: I've been thinking about getting leather seats or seat covers. Any advice? Approximate cost? Thanks!
What part of seat is "coming apart? Passenger also? You mean fragile? My Camry sunshade was very fragile.
Wet Okoles make the best seat cover. Mine are 5 years old and look great. Waterproof. Bulletproof. Car Seat Covers | Seat Covers | Custom Seat Covers | Truck Seat Covers | Automotive Seat Covers When the page loads put Prius in the top search box.
I have a similar issue with my passenger seat. The white plastic bar that holds the leather under the front of the seat was coming free on the door side of the passenger seat. I checked it the other day, and it looks like the whole bar is loose now. Worse still, I'm beyond the 36,000 miles (but not 3 years).
Same problem with my driver's seat. Had the "rump" side foam and leather cover replaced under warranty about two years ago. Haven't had a problem since. I still check it periodically...
