I make a point to ruffle the feathers of all my Facebook friends by posting at least couple of Prius related items daily. Their response is generally very predictable. LOL!
well at least the Prius generates a passionate response. The LEAF does the same for me. its either very good or very bad...
Mine looked the same way for the first year or so of trading in my race cars/trucks. Eventually everyone got used to the idea of me owning one. I'm sure it helped when they started seeing more of them on the road.
My friends are the same way but some are changing. I actually went with a friend yesterday to look at a 2012 model 2 because hes thinking of getting one since he wants room + mpg and his 16mpg, unreliable car isnt cutting it
That happened to me too. A few of the guys from my old LS1 car club sold their Camaros and bought Prii.
Well, if your intent is to impress others with Facebook, then probably not a good idea for you to use it. Facebook is entertainment at it's best, I considered it my playground, I get to do whatever whenever I want and no one can tell me otherwise.
If you like to poke fun about yourself and other prius owners (including myself and this entire forum membership) to your muscle car friends why are you sharing this stuff here?
I've seen that one its pretty cool. I am still amazed at all the effort and talent went into these videos. Something the "other" group just wouldn't get. But I can definitely undestand their passion.
I usually get praises on my prius when I post updates about it on FB. Most of my friends are total gear heads but they all respect the technology of the Prius.
I think my friends must be bullies in the car community after all they all driver cars either with horse or bull logo. But hopefully one day I can convert them.
Good luck trying to convert the car snobs. Maybe you can put an animal logo on your Prius so they'll respect you more.
Well, think about this for a minute. I used to be just like them. LOL! Someone planted a seed in me several years back by letting me drive their Prius from LA to San Diego. I hauled nice person the entire way and still got 50 mpg, that's when I was very impressed with the Prius and told myself one day I would buy one. And finally happened at the end of 2012 after I realized the world was not going to end, then I figure I better start to conserve.
considering the time i spend on FB, maybe you have the right idea...but then again, FB has become an invaluable tool to connect to long distance family members I have had no contact with for 30 years. It has also allowed me in a very small way to get to know the kids of the cousins I had not seen in so long so its as much a good thing as it is a bad thing which is why its so popular i guess.
