Greetings everyone. I'm a new 2012 Prius C owner. I'm coming from a 2003 lifted Rubicon and this is pretty much my first "economical" car. My previous JEEP's all had names, my last JEEP had the moniker of Donkey. I do miss Donkey quite a bit and I'm sure over time I'll grow to love this new toy just as much. My Prius was delivered this morning and I've already taken my first trip in it (short 5 mile drive) and I have to say it was pretty fun. I was wondering if anyone else out there named their rides, if so what? Thanks and I look forward to being a part of site.
I'd just name it the Prius. As for which trim level.... Steel wheels? Split rear seat? Cruise control? Nav? And we can try to figure out.
2003 Jeep Rubicon $4.58 gal plus my kids are teenagers now and no longer fit in the back of the JEEP. CA just passed a gas tax that takes effect in July that should seriously hurt anyone without an economical car.
If you have cruise control but no nav screen, then you probably have the 2. We named ours Entu. Originally it was N2 short for Nigel the Second. Our last car, an Echo, was called Nigel because the plates ended in NJL ... when we traded for the C, the salesman said we could keep our license plate - this turned out to not be true but we had already gotten used to calling it N2 by the time we formalized the registration. So N2 became Entu.
C1: No Cruise, no rear seat split, small radio C2: Cruise, small radio C3: Larger radio, no fogs C4: Larger radio, fogs.
All my cars had names. This one is 88 Yankee from the license plate. For me, the naming isn't a contest or conscious search. It just happens, the car names itself, and it just feels right.
I'm the same way, Jim, the car either names itself or the name just pops into your head and it feels right. I'm much the same way when it comes to naming pets. I told my husband, when we got our first pet as a couple, that she would tell us her name when she was ready.
