My 2012 Prius c recently started giving me problems when connecting my iPhone to it. It would just load either, for a very long time or non-stop. Sometimes, afterwards, the entertainment system would crash and be useless until the car was powered off and back on.
This is my third Prius. Started with a dark blue gen 2, upgraded to a pearl gen 3 and now the v. My husband drives the gen 3 and I got the new v. Love, love, love it!
The new 2013 Prius v trim/model 5 w/o Advance Technology package is replacing a 2010 Prius trim/model 5 w/Advance Technology package. I receive $17,500 trade in value for the 2010 Prius trim/model 5.
Our Prius v Touring replaced a (2002 F250 superduty diesel 4x4 lariat extended cab longbox), and it was about that long too! We sold it privately for $500 less that we paid for it 4 years earlier, and we sold our slide-in camper for it for $1000 more than what we bought it for (4 years earlier) Together it was half of what we paid for our Prius v Touring. Right now we don't drive prius for 2 reasons 1) too much snow and we can't make it up our driveway, 2) they put too much gravel on the roads and we don't want rock chips and cracked windshield on it. I think they use 1/2 inch crush mixed with salt on the highways. So it stays in the garage for now. Good thing we also have a Sienna AWD limited and a Subaru outback for winter travel.
Replaced my 07 Toyota Camry Hybrid. Loved the car but the V finally filled the gap between the two Toyota Hybrids I was waiting for. The wheel base is almost equal. The V has 3x the trunk space while getting 10+ MPG better than the TCH was getting.
Just replaced our 1998 ford taurus 6cyl. We got our 2013 v 3 on 1/13/13. Extremely satisfied. Odometer is at 300 miles and still haven't had to fill up. Yipee
Replaced a 2008 Mazda 3. The car was fun to drive but little things started to break just before the warranty expired (a power lock solenoid, the remote trunk release cable, the engine thermostat failed in the closed position) so I decided to trade zoom zoom for more space, technology and fuel economy. My v Two
That's exactly what my logic and math were! We traded in our 2007 F150. Originally bought when I was dirt biking and taking motorcycles to the track. My hobbies changed after a couple major injuries. We've been wanting a prius for a couple years, but there wasn't enough room for our 70lb shedding dogs, so we couldn't make the sacrifice.
Replaced a 1st gen 2008 Honda Fit Sport 5 SPD. Owned the Honda from new, 4 years and 200,000km later decided to sell. Got tired of the manual transmission(it worked well, just hated city driving with it), plus the uncomfortable cramped drivers seat finally got to me. Super reliable car otherwise. My condition on the replacement car is it had to get better fuel economy than the old one and have a bigger interior. The prius v was one of the few that fit the bill. Only needed one test drive, lovin my v. Feels like a grown up version of my old fit.
Aloha, Here's the story....wife drives a 2002 Toyota Echo, I have a 2011 Tacoma 2wd 2.7l base. In the garage, a 2005 Lemans Sunset FairladyZ Roadster with 16k. Sold the Z, wife will be driving the Prius v we just ordered, and I get the Echo. Already checked on the mods for the v: Injen intake, Tanabe springs, or coilovers, tinting, removing wheel covers. Will also be ordering alpha badge and work on illuminating the front and rear Toyota badging. Nothing stays stock for long! Tacoma is still new, looking at a K&N intake, shocks, springs to increase capacity with an 1.5" lift, headers and exhaust. Her Echo? Weapon-r exhaust, oil catch can, Eibach springs, Koni shocks and struts, grounding. Once I get it, probably headers and exhaust. The Z ....... mods as well. BTW, all DIY. A Hui Hou
I would let her drive it as Toyota intended first so she is complaining about your mods rather than thinking Toyota was that incompetent.
Aloha, Good idea on the performance mods. She is interested in the lighted badges and should be okay with the alpha. Window tinting is practically a must do here on the westside. A Hui Hou
My 2013 Prius v trim/model 5 w/o ATP replaced my 2010 Prius trim/model 5 w/ATP . I needed more cargo space so I got the Prius v but this time w/o ATP as I did not use all that extra electrons when I had the 2010 Prius hatchback. I did pruchase the Front Parking Sensor for the 2013 Prius v so that I do not scratch the front when parking. The dealer purchased the "Front Parking Sensor" from Quintex Mobile Electronics in Escondido, CA (www.qtxmobile.com). It was installed after delivery of the Prius v at my home.
replacing Acura MDX to Prius v Touring. Missing lots of bells and whistles but gain a hybrid and extra cash from gas overall I'm a happy camper!
I replaced a Gen III. I drove it 90k miles in just over two years. I decided I needed a little more room this time around. I am a forensic engineer and need to carry several tools and other equipment.
