Cold shrinkage? You must be referring to declining fuel-economy in the Prius during cold temperatures. As we all know, one of the greatest advantages of the Prius is astoundiing endurance. Like the race between the turtle and the hare, once you get a Prius warmed-up, it will continue delivering the goods far longer than the competition. Perhaps this explains the satisfied look on the faces of so many Prius drivers.
