Need a New Key FOB and Key!!

    I am hoping someone here can help. I need a new key & fob. Neither one of my fobs work and have to be replaced according to my Toyota dealer. I am down to one actual key. However, my dealer told me that it would be about $350 to program a new fob & key and almost $600 for two. Having just come off of 2.5 years of unemployment, I just can't afford that.

    Does anyone have any recommendations or am I SOL?

    Did you replace the batteries? Your owners manual will tell you how. I did mine with no problems. Good luck.

    The batteries have been changed (several times) to no avail.

    The only real way to take care of this (DIY and the cheapest) is to buy a "new" key fob from a dealer (used ones will not work). Read this entire post paying special attention to Julia2001 and her success.
