    Hey,

I'm not being the R-word or judgmental.
    I like it!
    I'm celebrating our differences!

It's just with the trade imbalance, and all, couldn't some of these companies (like Toyota) off-shore some of their tech-writing to native English speakers here in America?

(Dang, I'm getting into FPV RC helis and some of these sellers need help..)

P'car, how on earth did you get into wrenching on air-cooled Porches?
I used to be into pre-60's VWs. Ever heard of high-magnesium content cases? Ever heard of chucking a half a case into a bonfire?!!!

Bill, no offense taken. I make fun of my own people more than anyone else. LOL! You should see my daily Facebook posts of bad Asian drivers. :p

As for wrenching on aircooled 911s....

Well... Forever I always loved Porsche 911 and Ferraris. Finally was able to buy my first 911 in 97, a 96 993 (911 Carrera 2). Joint PCA (Porsche Club of America) and went down the slippery slope. Did every single club event, autocross, track, rally, concour etc.... Had bunch of fun with all the other Porsche owners, every weekend there were some sort of event. Decided to do my own wrenching on the car after a bad dealer experience. Bought the entire shop manual and just did everything step by step by the book. Documented the process and posted them on my web site, definitely didn't expect the site to become one of the most popular public domain 993 web site on the internet. I was sued by Porsche twice by having their logo on my site, both cases were settled out of court. Can't believe Porsche came after their most devoted customer. Later I found that they copied my muffler design for the 993 and used it on the 997, couldn't believe my eyes when I opened a set of 997 sports muffler. (too bad you can't file a patent on muffler sound) Which answered my question as to why someone from Germany ordered a set of my special modified mufflers.

Then years later I went to the dark side and bought a Ferrari, which is still the worst car buying choice I've ever made in my life. That's another story for later.

    P'car,

    Autocrossing !
Back in the day,, we called it gymkhanas in the midwest. Used to flog my British POS's around the big parking lots!

So, what class is it in and will my new-improved ( thanks to you ) Sporty Prius, with the sticky summer tires, have a fighting chance? Just to "make a statement", as they say !! Keep it in B, right?
I use High Performance Linkage between the driver's seat and the steering wheel and pedals!;)

    Bill,

Porsche clubs have their own Autocross, not associated with SCCA. However many PCA members do participate SCCA Autocross events. So I am not sure what class the PCA Autocross would fall under.

The Prius is actually a pretty good little car to be used for Autocross, due to low center of gravity and shorter wheel base like the link to the below video shows. Unlike road course racing Autocross does not require massive amount of horse power, ironically cars like Corvette and Viper with massive amount of torque usually do poorly at Autocross.

Personally I lost interest in Autocross once I found road course racing. :)

I've always told others who's about to dump bunch of money on their car to "improve" performance. "Fix the nut behind the wheel first!"

I lucked out, my best friend was a professional racing instructor, so this "nut" was fixed first. :p

Most of the Corvette owners I've met have more balls than skill.

    Oh Yeah !!

Should it be run in "Recert" mode to cancel VSC and Traction Control? Cancel ABS too, somehow?
I know I should use 'B' to keep the engine from shutting off..

Man, this is off topic, sorry....

I have no idea who made it, my clear bra installer recommended them to me. Maybe you can call them and find out 866-286-1012 Clear-pro.com

Here are some pictures of the seats, they looked a little wrinkled but they will smooth out overtime from the heat.
