Unlike the full-size Prius I used to have, the c seems to have a speaker somewhere under the hood which makes a buzzing/grinding noise when the car is powered by battery rather than by the engine. Is there a relatively simple way to disable this? I miss 'stealth mode' actually being stealthy.

I put this in the earlier thread. Did it on my C, easy. " It is not under the bumper as some have said. It is easily seen under the hood behind the driver's side headlight. Look for a white two wire connector on what looks like a speaker and unplug it. Easy peasey." XCHII
