I did all the mechanical upgrade of the Plus package in our 2013 Prius 3 with sunroof and solar. The car out of the door was $29000 (includes tax and license in CA). Prius Plus wheel was approximately $1250 + tires $800, Rear sway bar $250, Springs $220. I didn't add the external aero kit as I thought the Prius looks good as it is out of the box, I know it offers additional aerodynamic advantage but I think it's more for marketing than anything. I did all the install myself, I thought the upgrade was worth every penny.

First picture was without the spring, subsequent pictures are with the TRD Plus spring installed.

I also like the contrast of the liquid metal color of the wheel with the blizzard white body.

P.S. The TRD Plus wheels came with center caps, but not the special lug nuts (required). I think the complete lug nut package with wheel lock were around $110.

Are those the new version of the TRD Plus wheels? Because they look different than the ones I have.

Can someone chime in on if the Performance Package also means more "power" for the Prius or can you explain how the performance is different?

the tss wheels are the limited edition location specific for gulf coast states. i prefer the plus over the tss wheels. i remember that we priced them out and the plus ones were significantly more.

Better handling better aero dynamics so better performance. So imagine you can take a curve road 10mph faster than before, so better performance.

Actually slower performance from the heavier wheel/tire combo but nice handling. Some day I am hoping to find someone that can work the ECU code to turn up the wick a bit. I wish Toyota would have offered a revised ECU tune for the Plus Perf package to at least make the car accelerate as quick as a regular Mr Donut Prius does. The complete Plus Perf Package already throws the super high mpg's out the window so why not turn up the acceleration a bit ;)

Actually the 17" TRD forged wheel was surprisingly light, I am curious the weight difference with the stock 15". I need to put them on a scale one of these days..

I have "sport". Not exactly the plus, but I have the TRD wheels and the lip kit: when you say new emblems...does it say plus or sport?

Okay cool. So what's the difference between the sport and plus?

I seen a Sport with Sport badges in Florida last week. It had the Plus wheels and I could not see the rear swaybar and it did not have the body kit and rode high so I doubt there were any suspension changes. The Sport badge looked silly on the car [IMG]

This is my sport. I think the idea of a sport prius is a little backwards.

That is the badge I seen. I wonder if it is a South East Toyota thing? There is some other flavor the Gulf Coast dealers came up with with different wheels. What all do you have of the Plus components? The car I seen last week was NOT a solar.

The acceleration is slower but still plenty to get hauling nice person up a ramp if you need to. I have left many a Bubba in his pickup truck sitting at a light wondering Wth was that a Prius and they were trying :) Prius is no drag car but does just fine for a Hybrid. I totally love my Plus Perf Package. The car looks awesome, handles very nice, corners very well, no regrets. It does cost a chunk of change, but if you got the bucks, may as well get what you want ;)

I have a sport package and it came with the wheels and lower body kit. I had to add Plus springs, sway bar and badging. I didn't care for the Sport badging and removed them. I've since blacked out the tailamps and all the remaining badging. I also will purchase HID, and make my brake calipers red. The Sport also comes with leather interior.

My sport is non leather. I would have lowered it, but I was afraid of scratching. My Subaru is so low I can't put cigarette box below my lip. So I want more than enough space. I can't take it though...I need to lower it.

Newb here, with a question: after lowering it, how is the ride? much of a difference in bumpiness or is it still pretty comfortable for commuting?

Mine is fine. A bit firmer ride but I am used to a stiff suspension car so the firmer the better in my books ;)

I should add that it is super comfy to drive around. The biggest improvement you can make is getting the power seat that the Four & Five have.
