I had the reverse and seat belt beeps changed by the dealer before I took delivery. Now I want to install some mods which would entail disconnecting the 12-volt battery. With pre-2010 Prii the beeps would go back to the default settings. Will this happen on the 2010+? I don't want to make another trip to the dealer. Thanks!
That is not true. I have a 2010 and I ran the car battery down twice, took that battery out once to get checked, and months later a replaced the battery. Reverse beep keep the setting (off) that I did when I bought the car. I am shocked when people post incorrect info. If they are not sure they should say I think yes.
This is true as it is a software programming concern, not like the radio or clock which immediately resets once power is cut off.
I am not sure what you are trying to point out. The question the OP asked is "Does Reverse Beep Go Back to Default Setting After Battery Disconnect?" The answer is no it does not reset to the default setting that is ON. It keeps the last programmed state. In my case it was OFF.
The GII did revert to the default state. Looks like they may have changed that in the GIII from the above report.
I have a hard time understanding both your posts. The answer to this thread is 'No, it does not go back to default'
