Which tail light do you mean?
The "red" stop lights are already LED's.
The Backup lights "white" one are T20 bulbs, I just replace mine the light is brighter "white" light.

I had a bulb blow and take out the fuse this week, so I just did this upgrade to the tail lights.

For the amber ones I used amazon item B01E58G03I:

For the white ones I used amazon item: B016B1WBZS

They blinkers are MUCH brighter than the stock lights, and I am very happy. I am thinking to do the font blinker bulbs next.

The backup lights are perhaps not quite as bright, but they are "whiter" which makes me feel better when backing up.

EDIT: Note that for the amber ones I had to add load resisters to get them not to blink too quickly. I was tricked at first because the emergency flashers don't have the problem, just the blinkers.

For this I used amazon item: B00DCULNXS

I took photos and will upload them when I manage to get them off the phone.

EDIT: Not sure why PriusChat is converting the links but then not showing them properly.

Okay, so some images for you all, and some installation notes.

The first image you can see the backup lights and see that the stock is brighter but yellow.
The second image shows the blinker lights and you can see the LED is MUCH brighter.
Third photo shows the resister attachment. Note that I was able to do the attachment without having to remove any of the wiring covering.
Fourth photo shows how I snugged the tab for the resister under the sheet metal and used a 3M strip to attach it. This is a temporary measure until I go get a sheet metal screw and drill a hole in the front metal to run a screw in.
Fifth photo shows the same on the other side but also shows how the wiring harness is a little closer on that side than I would like for how hot I expect the resister will get.

Final note is that the LED bulbs are longer than the stock bulbs and the wiring harness was not very long which made getting the bulbs back in the sockets a little tricky but I managed.
