Yup, I have been "split" in three pieces and know how to "disappear" when placed in a "glass box." There are no escape routes.
Gotta admit, not a bad day on the single front... grocery shopping, artwork created, made a vat of spicy jambalaya to share with family members, looking forward to having tomorrow off and am joining the local fitness center to reach my 5K running goals. (Town employees get a discount!) Have a family member who is a massage therapist who readjusted a lot of neglected trigger points today... I probably will be in the hot tub later but feel a helluva lot better. Looking forward to a quiet week at work being a calendar year employee in education with kids and teachers off Tuesday to Friday. Robins (not the group that winters over - I have a few die-hards here) are returning in bigger numbers and grackles returned to the yard here today to work on the feeders outside the window... while I do not have the pond I did in my last house, hoping the redwinged blackbirds show up nearby soon... upstate NY they arrived like clockwork on March 9th.... Plus seeing what the dating "train" brings to the table this week. Hope springs eternal.
Oceaneyes, if the guys keep on flaking out you know you could always try dating a chick. hehe just kidding!
BWHAHAHA! Love it!!!! (Six minute abs right now laughing myself silly!!) My son and brother tell me that all the time (since they have not been having good luck with the dudes either) but I still like the dudes best...
No worries, JMD, this particular chick likes the roosters, even if they are having trouble sorting **** between their two sets of brains in my world. (Good Gawd did I just go there?! My oh so bad!!! )
Yeah, had to pull that card out. Like the Alicia Keys song said, "this girl is on fire..." Let me tell the world that age does not change the fire's intensity! And thanks to all following the thread for making me smile with your comments. And who would have thought the common thread was a Prius?!
Funny story a gal I was dating in college had her best friend visit one weekend from another College. Thought nothing of it. We had a great weekend bar hoping and such. On Sunday evening I stopped by her rental house as I always do and went inside and up stairs the bedroom door was open and yep they were going at it like no ones business. I never forgot that look I must have had. I wanted to leave but my feet were planted to the floor. They could not care less. The rest is history if you know what I mean albeit it was all about them. Today decades later we all made seperate lives & both gals are happily married to men with grown Children. Every now and than I'm sure it crosses our minds that crazy weekend.
Im loving this thread! Funny stories and comments, for sure! I had a "whoops" moment too JMD when I was a teenager but it involved me I was a young 16 something or other and liked guys but also had lots of girls that liked me. So I was dating this really nice popular pretty girl because hey, ones gotta do what ones gotta do to maintain status quo right? haha. One day the guy that I was talking to came over when me and her were "hanging out"...lol. And it definitely did not have a happy ending like your story did, hahah Looking back at my youth, I LOL sometimes. I cant make this stuff up!
Life happens and when you can smile at it all the better. Too bad I am one previous owner and very low mileage on a Prius thread... LOL!
