My Gen 3 Prius is my first and only Prius but I'll have to agree that the Gen 2 buyers had the better color selection. May not have gone with Blizzard Pearl if I had their choices. I like the blue grey color.
Black looks the best, but is way to difficult to maintain. The blizzard white looks good up close, where you can see the sparkle. Otherwise, it's just white. I like my metallic blue. But the other day I saw an old 1960-something Impala, painted candy apple red, with that real sparkly stuff in it. You (and me) old guys will remember this type of paint job. But I thought it would look great on a Prius. Mike
I just saw a brand new 2013 "Black Cherry Pearl" this morning, it look fresh compare to all of the previous color, at least it's not RED. I still like my Blizzard Pearl.
I could not decide between black and white. So I bought one in snowwhite and let the roof and the hatch door foiling in black.
Very sharp! It's my second favorite color. I just love blue. But no doubt your car is really looking very nice
Blizzard Pearl. Case closed. Especially with the solar roof. The black roof glass really sets it off.
Wow a Swiss plate Prius! Welcome! (We should have some European packages in the user profile if you want to add that)
I like our Prius 4 with the solar top in Blizzard Pearl. It's easy to keep looking clean and pops in the sun.
Black Cherry Pearl of course... Lust at first sight I happen to have always liked Burgundy. The BCP looks almost black until you get it into the sun. Then it looks like a deep red Pinot Noir color. I love wine too, so it seems appropriate. The color had me a bit worried, until I saw it in person. No picture I have seen has done it justice yet. The only color that I would prefer ever more would be a deep brown. When I tell people that brown is my favorite color, they mostly look at me funny RT P.S. Tesla makes a Brown Model S, I was one lottery win away from having one of those too...
My mom had a friend who had an autobody shop in the 70s... the "metal flake" paint jobs he could do were impressive in a cherry red or a royal blue. Miss that look - you only see it on hotrod motorboats now.
As you can see I like snow white. Actually it's called pearl white here. Too bad they don't allow foreigners at the Blizzard Brigade.
Very true! They just are impressive no matter what color. We're just being fussy, annal and Somewhat drama nuts. Isn't it fun, though?
With Nemo dumping 2.5 feet of snow here last week... wondered if I could have flown into the Blizzard Brigade under the radar had my baby been wearing a "coat" like Ridder's Prius... all in wonderful, good fun!
Agreed... my family laughs when I start yowling about too much road salt/spray that needs to be (lovingly) washed off... and they laugh at the buckets of water, soap and toweling.... loved the thread about folks who gave their Prius a name...years ago I would have never, EVER got it but with one beloved "baby" in the garage, and hearing the heartache of those who have endured accidents, I understand now. Ironically, on my Prius's computer is a date of 5-4-2011 that I have not erased or researched... she is a 2012 but that was an important date (May 4th) in my growing up... is it destiny? Coincidence? Fate?
