My wife has gotten the Prius bug since I got my PiP. (quick history here: My wife has got the Prius bug! | PriusChat ). Anyways, just wanted to say hi and I'll be poking around here and try to learn as much as I can. Obligatory pictures: Happy wife
Congrats! Your wife got a C4 with 16" wheel, nice. The last picture she stands perfectly cover the antenna, just a little at the end of it looks like part of your wife hair style.
Well, be careful what you wish for! 6 months after I got the clearly superior OrcaCar (C4, SummerRain), my SO bought a 2013 Chevy Volt in Silver Metallic Topaz. Now, he has remote start with climate control and (because he can charge up at work) only spent a total of $35 on gas/eletricity for his car, has HOV stickers, AND switched our household over to the cheaper time-of-use program with PG&E (our bill dropped, even though he is charging the car at night). Sheesh...still, if I must be one-upped, at least I am also benefiting!
Glad to see there was a beautiful "cure" for the Prius bug! Hope she feels "cured" and may she enjoy many, happy miles with the new "baby."
Me as well - in my world, had two guys actually had meltdowns when they heard I drove a Prius and bantered back unintelligible words at me while I said, "Uh, um, uh... BYE!" Oh well...
ADDENDUM, by request of SO: That's $35 for the month of January with a 60mi/day roundtrip commute, and, OrcaCar still has top status for long trips, because the Volt has some range anxiety over 40 miles in a charge...just to keep the record straight!
I wish my husband had his own C so that he would stop messing with my mileage stats. He drives Entu like it was a race car - pedal to the floor for *every* acceleration, not braking or even removing foot from gas pedal until he's about 4 car lengths from a collision. I can get my "trip A" MPGs into the 80s in just a few days... it only takes him making 1 trip to the local mini-mart to bring that down to 55. :-(
LOVE the blue color. I'm almost glad that color wasn't at my dealership because then I would of had to make a decision!
Thanks everyone! Unfortunately, she's not liking the harsher ride of 16" low profile tires. I lowered the psi to recommended 32f/29r which helped a little but wish it has the regular 15 tires. They sure do look good though!
Congrats on being a Prii (Priuses?) family. I really like the color but my GF's Fit is almost identical shade of blue - I thought it would lead to confusion on my part when I leave for work in the early a.m.
That's a fine looking car. Glad it found a good home. She was well cared for in her 22,000 miles. Never abused, always kept as clean as possible and all her 5K services were done on time. No bumps or scrapes and I even tried my best to shield it from the acorn onslaught in the fall. There may be one or two shallow dings near the moonroof. No pets or smokers in it ever. I'm sure it will provide many years of fuel savings and reliable service. I replaced it with a 2013 Accord EX-L V-6 sedan. Gave me back the luxury and comfort features I missed, V-6 power and still gets high 30's highway MPG (in the winter).
