This forum is great! Thought I'd share. This is for a C2 in black with mats and tinting.

$20,458 out the door (including $1000 grad rebate) in Florida.

Bought my C2 back on December 17th. I got quoted $18,750 by Dealer 1. Turns out when I showed up to buy, they didn't have that model in stock and weren't expecting any for at least a month. I turned around and managed to get Dealer 2 to price match Dealer 1 (but didn't tell them about Dealer 1 not actually having it in stock..amazingly Dealer 2 never verified anything). Ultimately, I wish I could have gotten the car from Dealer 1 as they seemed like a better establishment, but I figure I can just take my car in for servicing at Dealer 1 if I feel the service at Dealer 2 turns out to be subpar.

Since I live in Oregon, there's no Salestax. Also, even though I just got discharged from the U.S. Military Active Duty (honorably), i'm still in the Inactive Reserves, which Toyota generously honors under their $1000 military rebate. So I ended up getting, what I think, was a hell of a deal for this car:

    + $18,750 Lot price
+ $273 DMV Title and Registration fees
+ $75 Dealer fee (for DMV paperwork on my behalf...I couldn't decline this)
    + $0 sales tax (Oregon)
    - $1,000 military rebate
    = $18,096 out-the-door price

I JUST missed out on under $18k! But really, with sales tax, it would put it around $19,500, so it's not THAT much better than what some of you others got. I assumed I was given such a low quote because they were anticipating 2013 models arriving and were trying to get rid of their stock. Still, here it is Jan 29th, and I've yet to see any new info on the 2013 model than what was released in early December.

I thought I'd share since this forum has helped me immensely....

Just finalized a deal after negotiating for nearly two weeks, and will be signing tomorrow: C2 black with no options; list price 20,900; I paid 19,000.

Here in Nebraska, all the additional taxes and licensing fees are estimated to come to $1,752.

Which makes my total cost $20,752.

Hey, nice price! If you don't count the taxes and my rebate, your final dealer price was really close to mine. They must be trying to get rid of 'em in anticipation of the 2013 models. :)

I got my C4 for $22,858. The dealer threw in the extended warranty, the extended maintenance, the floor mats and the window tint for me as well. I was quoted at $24,500 at 3.9% for 72 months. Dealing with the finance guy and because my credit was so good he told me that he could drop the price to $21k if I agreed to pay for the extended packages. This still ended up being almost $2k lower than my quote, plus he threw in 2.9%. I just sat there trying to figure out the gimmick. He told me that the dealership gets better scores when they sell the extendeds than they do when they sell the cars themselves. I laughed the entire way home.

To give everyone an update: I just signed the purchase agreement and took my new Prius C2 home tonight. Everything went really smoothly, no funny business on the dealer's part...

And yeah, they definitely wanted to sell that car by the end of the month. It seems my timing was good.

I got internet quotes from ~5 different Toyota dealers, then continued to email with the dealers who would negotiate price by email. After I got a quote for the 2013 C2 I wanted with a good price and breakdown of fees, I went with it from there. The dealer with the best price happened to be in the middle of nowhere NH, rather than the more expensive areas around Boston where I live.

$18,600 quote (with rear bumper cover and carpet set included, not including fees, tax, title, or registration)
-$1,000 current college grad student rebate (I sprung this on them after getting the quote in writing)
    +$395 administration fees
    +$25 Title
+2.99% Toyota financing = +$1,187 (needed to put down at least 20% to get the lower rate)
    +6.25% MA sales tax = +$1,100
    =$20,307

$21K for a C2 in Northeast Ohio, including tax (7.75%), title, plates, fees, carpet mats, after $1,000 recent grad discount, and with a '93 Nissan Sentra trade-in that didn't run but had a decent interior and just over 100K on the engine. I didn't try very hard.

I got my 2013 Prius C Two in Moonglow (extra $395) for $22,150 out the door in Miller Toyota of Culver City. I did pay cash so I was able to get them to lower their price. My suggestion is to get a quote from more than one dealership. I went to the Toyota in Downtown LA and the salesman did not want to budge on the MSRP price. Out the door he wanted me to pay $23,300 without the special color.

Financed outside and took them an electronic check for 19,300 with floor mats and bumper protector and 300 processing fee included. I took 7000 for my 07 yaris w/92000 miles, They started at 6000 two and half weeks ago, told them i would just sell my car outright and didn't need the car already had a car that was paid off. The dealer prob called three times and I went back once 3 days later, and talked to the finance manager. They still told me 6000 was as much as they could do on my car so i told them I would just buy the car outright for 19,300 and sell my car then all the sudden he changed his mind because he wanted the trade obviously! He countered with 6500, still said no on the phone then he said 6750 if i would come in tonight, thats when i told him I would talk to my wife. Called him back told him I would sell my car for 7500 and be back, then with a very dreary voice he said 7000 and thats all I can do. So I get there they try to give me 6750 and charge me for the doc fee, Nope try again we just discussed this, he apologized for getting caught in his little scheme. Then came back with the right paper work, they will wright me a check for 7000 bought the car for 19300 and thank god its over with! There were several other dealers here Ok that walked me out and said there was nothing they could do for me, 20,500 was the lowest of 4 other dealers . Sorry this so long, but so was the process of being patient and getting a good deal. Hope this helps somebody, There tough but remember your the one with the $ and your not being unrealistic like i thought maybe I was being at times. God Bless

Me too! I am feeling like I got a steal! 2012 Prius C 3 Moonglow with alloy wheels/carpets/mats: $21,500 OTD (included all taxes etc.). No incentives, no rebates, no trade-in. Also, they gave me 0% financing... so even better! I almost passed it up - the dealership had pissed me off and I almost walked away. So glad I didn't!(y)

So I have a 2012 C1, but I had the dealer install cruise control and the two rear speakers free of charge. So the only difference is the C1 has a rear seat that folds down as one unit, not a 60/40 split like the C2. I bought it two weeks ago with mats and window tinting. I was OTD for 19,497.72. Had a trade in for 1041.05 put $500 down and financed the rest at 0% for 5 years. My payments are under 300. :D

We just purchased a 2012 C3 last night. It was $18,498, plus taxes and licensing stuff. I think that sounds like a decent deal! Now I just need to figure out how to use everything!
