Strange thing on my 2006. Driving on curvy road, would occassionally get just the "Red Triangle" exclamation point (for a second or so) -- and also the word "Problem." would flash up on the display.
No permanent check engine light or other icons lighting up. Still getting 40MPH, everything seems to be driving right. Have 135K on the odometer.

Question - does that triangle thing store codes that can be read by an OBDII reader each time it flashes -- or does the check engine light need to be on?

Second Question - Any clue what the word "Problem." with no description could refer to? It goes away at the same time the red triangle goes away.

When was the last time you checked the oil level?

Sometimes when there's insufficient oil in the sump, there won't be adequate oil pressure which could trigger the "oil" light briefly when the oil sloshes toward one side of the pan while in a curve.

Let's hope that's not it because it would be bad.

I agree with the above, as the OP's situation has been seen several times recently. The Prius is like all other vehicles in needing to have the dipstick looked at regularly.

You called it. Down about a quart and a half. No driveway spots so it must be eating a quart every 1500 miles or so
