We bought an aftermarket warranty on a used 2007 Hyundai van then we just traded the van for our 2006 Prius. That warranty never seemed to cover anything that failed - we are getting a pro-rated refund. Is there an aftermarket warranty that is worth it or are we better off just setting aside some funds for future repairs? Thanks! David
Don't throw your money away... These cars are incredibly reliable. Put your warranty money in a personal bank account and plan to spend it on your next new car 10 years from now!
Thanks paprius & PriusCamper! That's what I expected to hear but I wanted to be wise and ask the question.
Take the money that you would have spent on the warranty and put it in a savings account where it will draw interest. Then if you need it later on, you can borrow from that to make any emergency repairs. If you don't use it, you will have it for later on to make a down payment on your next Prius!
Either save the money for repairs or visit the PriusChat store and buy cool fun stuff for your new ride
