Is there a way to change the options so that the radio is silenced when navigation is giving instructions? My BMW does it. When the radio is on I can't make out what the instructions are ...
The radio should drop sound completely when navigation kicks itself on to speak. I don't know if the manual has instructions on any adjustments. I tend to just call the Dealer service department and have them walk me thru it or checkout why it isn't doing something automatically.
As far as I know you can only adjust the navigation sound louder using the speaker symbol on the left while in map mode.
In my V three the radio volume does not drop during navigation instructions. As rjparker stated, you can increase the volume using the speaker icon on the Nav screen.
I know what I hear on my 2013. EDIT: I found that I can turn up the navigation volume enough to hear it over the radio/stereo sound system under normal volume situations. It is a poor solution when I am rocking out!
