aaf709 provided only partial instructions. First, explain to the wife that it will make the car look nicer. Then firmly grab the rim and pull it off. I recommend a slow approach so the sudden inertia doesn't snap them. When you're finished, reiterate to the wife that it makes the car look nicer. Lastly, store them somewhere you can get to them for when the wife changes her mind.
