I'm considering a 2013 v Five purchase. I've had some back and forth with the dealer over pricing, TDA, Admin fees, etc. Can anyone weigh in on this price and let me know how it compares to your experiences?

    Dealer invoice base $28202
    Accessories $140 (floor/cargo mats)
    Dest fee $795
    Sub: $29137
    TDA/Gas $695.72
    Admin fee $499
    Total: $30,331.72 + tax

Dealer is offering $29832 + tax.
    MSRP is $31315 + tax.

What I'm unsure of is the TDA charge and Admin fee. In my state, the admin fee seems to be a widespread thing, but I had never seen TDA before. Seems that many folks think that's a valid charge, as well. Thoughts?

TDA ("Toyota Dealer Advertising") is an SG&A expense. If they think they can bill it directly to you as opposed to absorb it in their gross margins, they will try.

That was my thought. It does seem that the TDA is an actual fee charged to the dealership from the distributor which is what threw me for a loop.

True. I'm hoping others might chime in as to where their out-the-door cost including everything but tax came in relative to MSRP so I can get a solid idea of where this offer fits in.

Wound up purchasing today for about $500 less than I originally posted. Woohoo!
