Does the odometer display overall MPG? Compared to TRIP A or TRIP B? For example: This is the information after getting home from work. TRIP SUMMARY from ODO DISTANCE 26.5miles Time 0h50m Consumption 63.3 MPG Fuel cost $1.43 TRIP A: 54.7 TRIP B: 55.1 Is the odometer displaying just the trip I just took (the 26.5 mile trip from work)? Are TRIP A and TRIP B averages of accumulated miles after a reset? I have TRIP A recording mileage since my last fuel up and I don't know what TRIP B is doing. Thanks.
No, ODO is showing the current trip MPG. It always reset to 0 at the start of a new trip. If you don't reset your TRIP A until your next refuel, then that would be your tank MPG. If you never reset TRIP B since day 1, then that would be your lifetime MPG. Vincent
From start = reset every time the car is turned off. I reset trip A after each fuel up Because of accidentally resetting trip B when I changed my oil I've decided to continue resetting with each oil change (and manually recording the average at that time).
Use Fuelly and set your fuel average to total odometer reading. After 10 fill-ups, it'll show your total average. That's why my Fuelly is showing 0, I only have one fill up. Geez, it may take forever at this rate
