Its not Velcroed down yet I just have it sitting on there. I'm debating on doing that. But hopefully it will eventually just take the shape of the dash it just takes some time. I'm impressed for $35 bucks plus $8 for USPS Priority mail shipping ordered it Sunday night got here just this morning!
Aesthetically speaking, it's not the best I've seen !!! What about the corner on the passenger side that is not covered, if like you suppose, it will fade, crack or warp the thing, will it also do it on the uncovered part. With all the heat generated by the direct sun, I really recommand you don't stick any velcro there as it's going to be a mess to remove (adhesive) and you risk more of a disaster than putting nothing...just my two cents Stay foolish, stay logic Someone
Not for me but still nice. I like it clean and shiny As for the sun I just a solar visor. keeps the car cooler to.
I thought about getting one of those but its to cumbersome LOL. And I don't want to keep it in the car I can deal with the heat for a few minutes lol
Very ugly - sorry but you did asked peoples opinions, in the end it really comes down to what you like though. I have driven 25 year old vehicles that never had their dash crack or fade. All automotive glass does have some level of UV protection. That all being said - I had purchased a dashmat like this for my S10, after putting it on the dash it was immediately removed for being hideous, I re-sold it on ebay to some other sucker, took a loss - but I was not going to use that thing.
Come to think of it - the last vehicle I had with a dash damaged by the sun and heat was back in the 1970s. I believe the newer plastics and materials are more resistant to UV(???) and, as you say, the glass is probably better too. I'll keep my dashmat - I don't think it looks particularly hideous. But, back in the day, I thought the AMC Pacer was a sharp looking car. YMMV
Hey everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I'm just fine with that fighting on the internet is the stupidest thing ever. I forgot about the windshields having that UV protection on it but still it may not be enough.
Thanks! I like it too I'm glad I went with a darker color instead of a lighter color. If you want to talk about Ugly cars I always had a soft spot for the Pontiac AZTEK.
If you want to talk about Ugly cars I always had a soft spot for the Pontiac AZTEK.[/quote] Yea right. I am still laughing. Great sense of humor, I like that. We have had one on the Vibe gt since it was new. Probably does not look as good as the dash itself but we like having it there. I take it off periodically to clean the dust fron the dash. Keeps my glasses from falling off the dash, I hate glasses. So, I too have ordered one for the C. The company I bought from has to make it so will be a couple of weeks before I get it. Won't particularly like it but I think it serves a purpose, a couple of them, for me. Dan
Lots of people thought the Scion XB was super ugly too - but I loved that car. Just goes to show - everyone's tastes are different. There is a Chrysler 300C that lives near me (One of the most classy looking cars ever produced IMO) and this dude has every chrome thing you can imagine taped onto the car. Its like he robbed the accessories section from wal-mart - ruined the car in my opinion, but he drives that thing around with pride...

I went dash cover for the 1st time. Dash Care tech black. The only reason was to protect my C's dash from scratches as the suction on my window mounded GPS gave way and left two cuts and a couple scratches in the dash plastic. Not sure how it did that as there are no sharp edges? Anyway t gets scratches very easy! Know I can mount it without rocking more scratches. It looks better than I thought it would!
Here is a picture of the Dash Care tech black dash cover. Total $50.00 with shipping and came in two days wets coast to east coast View attachment 45834
