I just want to introduce myself and say hi. I miss driving my 08 Subaru STI but I am getting use to 50 MPG real fast. But anyway just wanted to say hi.
That is quite a change. I think the STI is one of the coolest sounding cars but we can't ignore the Prius mpg. You may find that your driving style changes completely. Welcome to the Forum. The guys on it are unbelievably helpful with any questions on anything about the car. You may get the mod bug as a result though.
One thing that I am looking for is a way to keep my LED DRL on with my headlights. Still have not found a good way of doing it.
I've come across this issue on the forum before but can't remember the exact thread, its out there though...Others wanted to do same but it seems recommended to convert them to fog lights as the drl's can't be directed like normal headlights and driving lamps.
Maybe one day you can post here what your MPG going from Upland to Ontario (Down the Big Mountain on I-15) versus going from Ontario to Upland ( Going up the Big Mountain I-15). I believe Upland is north of that huge mountain.
Upland is the city right above Ontario so that wouldnt be much of a trip. I do work at Lucas Oil which is in Corona down the 15 which is a long down hill to work and a long uphill to home. I will post those numbers tomorrow.
so on the way home (uphill) i averaged 48.2 MPG. on the way to work (downhill) i averaged 52 MPG. one way trip is 23 miles.
That is excellent. I thought that huge hill would kill your MPG but the numbers are impressive. Thanks !
California Highway drivers moves at a good clip absent of traffic jams. If you were going 55 MPH you would get better mileage but they would run you off the road or risk getting rear ended. The numbers are still impressive.
