I just totalled up my fueling costs for the first 10,000 miles and it came in at $0.0176/mile for gasoline and electricity.
That's incredible. I don't keep a close watch but one month I got into the .02/mile range. Doing better than that for 10K miles including through our hot Texas summers? WOW! Congrats!
I will have to give the majority of the credit to Austin Energy and their EV subscription, effectivly letting me purchase electricity for 1 cent per kWh.
My Lifetime consumption is below 1 liter of gasoline/100km. My electricity bill went up, from previous bills, for 16 EUR, but that increase includes heating the apartment with the heat pump. I've saved about 1000 EUR (about 1300$) in less than 6 months in fuel costs. http://shrani.si/f/1w/yT/2gRfCFYk/20121229030138.jpg
I've seen their website mentioned somewhere else and looked a bit. Are they planning something like remote access to the car, like USA already has?
